Workplace accidents are expensive. The impact on an organization’s WCB costs is something that is visible and tangible for those leaders that look at them. But there are the hidden costs of accidents that are equally significant. The worker shortage we are all experiencing, as an example, makes it all the more stressful and expensive when employees are off work due to an accident that could have been avoided.

In this video, John Cameron talks about the high cost to organizations of not having a Positive Safety Culture where everyone in the organization takes ownership of, and takes actions to improve, workplace safety. John also discusses how to find what your WCB costs are, if you don’t know where to find that information, and explains SSI Consulting’s PATS (People Approach To Safety) program as one alternative to paying more in WCB and other costs than you should be.
