Headquartered in Digby, NS, our client is seeking a SENIOR CHARTERED PROFESSIONAL ACCOUNTANT – MANAGER LEVEL to join their firmThis position is located in the lovely part of Atlantic Canada, the “scallop capital of the world”.


Engaging, developing and nurturing client relationships; overseeing the clients’ accounting / business needs varying across different industries and sectors; focusing on ensuring the timely and accurate delivery of financial statements and reporting for client: and mentoring/supervising of others.

Your role at a glance:

  • Provides exceptional client service, client management and business development
  • Drives engagement and performance, including mentoring and coaching a team
  • Prepares, plans and executes financial statements
  • Prepares corporate, personal and trust tax returns
  • Create and analyze financial reports
  • Prepare external filings (i.e., HST, wage subsidies)

Who you are:

  • 5+ year experience in a mid to senior level Accounting role
  • Must have CPA designation
  • Must have a passion in helping clients in small communities
  • Previous public accounting experience preferred
  • Must have experience managing and leading a team
  • Expertise in various business sectors
  • Able to engage and communicate directly with clients
  • Resourceful, high performer, organized and methodical
  • Strong communicator, coach and exceptional interpersonal skills
