We currently require a Supply Chain Manager to join our team. This is a new strategic role for our organization, and requires a strong advocate of change.

As Supply Chain Manager, you will be responsible for providing strategic leadership to a newly formed team performing supply chain activities, across multiple categories, resulting in increased value, effectiveness, and efficiencies for the organization as a whole.

Primary Responsibilities

  • Provide strategy and strategic direction for the organization’s Supply Chain functions
  • Direct and coordinate all work activities for staff engaged in buying, selling, and distributing the products and services required to meet organizational needs
  • As a Leader, perform on going coaching and performance management, including performance appraisals, for direct reports
  • Research new opportunities for existing & potential vendors, and lead negotiations to establish vendor agreements based on developing strong vendor relationships
  • Develop and implement performance metrics related to Supply Chain Management
  • Ensure proper management of inventories
  • Communicate and liaison with internal customers to ensure organizational needs are being made
  • Develop and adhere to departmental budgets
  • Monitor and forecast upcoming levels of demand, as well as the impact future market pricing will have on the organization
  • Ensure day to day team functions are carried out in a timely manner, such as issuing of purchase orders and follow up on deliveries
  • Oversee accurate record keeping and reporting required for timely management decision making

Candidate Requirements

  • Minimum of 5 years progressive experience in Supply Chain Management roles
  • Familiarity with sourcing, vendor management and market dynamics
  • Experienced negotiator and strong relationship builder
  • Experience with MRP/ERP systems
  • Above average computer skills
  • Strong process improvement, prioritizing & time management and skills
  • Have completed, or are in the process of completing, their SCMP designation
  • Oral and written fluency in both English and French is a requirement
  • Experience in banking, financial management or professional services is an asset
  • Regular travel within the Province of New Brunswick will be required
